- The contract is between GDY Granite Ltd and the person whose order of goods is accepted by GDY Granite Ltd. (the customer)
- It is the responsibility of the customer to provide measurements, specifications and a diagram that is representative of their requirements.
- The final price of the goods quoted is based upon the information provided by the customer, and is subject to any changes up to and including templating.
- A 40% deposit is required at the point of order, with the balance required at completion.
- The property of the goods shall not pass to the customer until GDY Granite Ltd has received full payment.
- GDY Granite Ltd shall be under no liability in respect of any defects in the goods arising from any design, drawing or specification supplied by or on behalf of the customer.
- GDY Granite shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage, negligence, misuse, abnormal working conditions, alteration or repair to the goods.
- Any claim by the customer based upon defect, quality or failure to correspond to the description must be notified in writing to GDY Granite Ltd within 3 days. Under these conditions GDY Granite shall be entitled to replace the goods in full or part free of charge, or at the discretion of GDY Granite, refund the price of goods in full or part, but GDY Granite shall have no further liability to the customer.

MANUFACTURING CONDITIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Any sample images and/or photographs of items displayed on the website are supplied solely for information and in no way import any express or implied conditions or warranties as to quality, description, fitness for purpose or merchantable quality and you shall be deemed have satisfied yourself as to such matters prior to ordering items from the website.
- All natural materials supplied are subject to their natural markings, variations in colour, fissures and vents. These are supplied cramped, stopped or reinforced where necessary.
- Due to the natural markings in granite it may not be possible to provide an exact resemblance to the samples. We are, however, always pleased to show customers photographs of the granite slabs to be used and arrangements can be made to visit the factory to view.
- Where jointing of materials is necessary, an exact jointing material colour is not available. Therefore, jointing lines to a degree will be noticed, particularly with the lighter coloured materials.
- All dimensions quoted are nominal and no liability is accepted for reasonable variations of whatsoever nature. It is an accepted practise in the granite and marble industry that the tolerances are 1-2mm plus or minus.
- During the process of manufacture, where necessary plain sawn edges of 20 and 30mm thick granite will have the arris removed and polished.
- The polish to recess drainers and profiles will always be of good quality, due to the different machinery, grits and pressures used the finished polish cannot be guaranteed to be identical to the surface.
TEMPLATING CONDITIONS
In order to process and manufacture projects as efficiently and accurately as possible, it is essential the following points are carried out prior to us templating on site.
- All surfaces/cabinets to be templated must be complete, flat and level.
- Please ensure no additions or alterations to the furniture or appliances, etc, take place after templating.
- Any freestanding appliances such as fridges, cookers etc. that the worktops abut to must be in their final position.
- All sinks and taps must be disconnected but available on site.
- Any gas or electric hobs must be disconnected but available on site.
- Under mounted and Belfast/butler type sinks must be fixed in position.
- Any units to be fitted directly on top of the worktops must be fitted after the worktops or on adjustable wall brackets to give adequate clearance. It is not acceptable to leave a gap and expect to slide the worktops under.
- If any walls around the worktops are to be plastered, they must be done either before templating or after fixing the worktops.
- A representative must be present during templating to agree all relevant details such as overhang, edge detail, height of splashbacks, joints, etc.
- Advice will also be given if any additional work needs to be carried out before the new worktops can be fixed e.g. additional strapping where there is insufficient support.
- If the templaters are unable to template then it will lead to a delay in your installation and further costs to re template.(170&vat)
FIXING CONDITIONS
In order to install your granite work surfaces as efficiently and accurately as possible, it is essential the following points are carried out prior to the fitters arriving on site.
- The installers will require clear and unobstructed access to your kitchen, to carry in the work surfaces. (n.b. 30mm granite weighs 90kg/m2)
- Any over mounted sink, tap or hob must be disconnected.
- All electrical, gas and sink fittings that interfere in any way with the installation of granite work surfaces to be removed.
- Any tiling in areas around the work surfaces must take place after fixing work surfaces.
- Standing on the finished worktops must be avoided.
- Where other trades follow on it is the customers responsibility to cover the tops with protective sheeting as we do not allow any costs to do this work.
